Welcome to the 2020 Umina United soccer season! The following information includes all details relevant to registering for 2020.

What are my soccer fees in 2020?

With rising costs and fee increases by both the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) and Central Coast Football (CCF), Umina United has had to increase our fees. Our fee structure is as follows:

Under 5-7: $180
Under 8-9: $190
Under 10-11: $220
Under 12-18: $240
Seniors: $400

When calculating your fees due, please remember:

  • The NSW government’s “active kids voucher” can be utilised for registrations of all school-age children, which would decrease the total fee owing by $100.
  • Life Members of Umina United who are still playing are entitled to a $100 discount on their registration fees.
  • Unfortunately, Football NSW has removed student discount subsidies in 2020, so Umina United is no longer able to offer student discounts for players aged 19 and over.
  • The fees above are our “Early Bird” rates and apply to people registering up to and including Sunday 1 March. From Monday 2 March, registrations will attract an additional $20 fee for all junior age groups (Under 5s to Under 18s), and $40 for all senior age groups. Registering early will help minimise your costs!

What is included in the cost of my registration?

When you register on Play Football, you will be able to view the fee component that is forwarded to FFA, Football NSW and CCF. The Umina United fee component covers our team nomination fees, referee fees for Under 10s and over, ground maintenance and equipment, equipment for training and game days, end of season presentations, and club running costs. In celebration of the club’s 41st season, a new playing strip has also been launched for 2020. The 2020 registration fee includes a playing shirt to keep for U5-U9s, and new playing shirts as part of the team kit for all competition age groups (U10s-U18s, and all senior teams). ALL players in ALL age groups will also be given new playing shorts and socks in 2020, which are theirs to keep.

How do I register?

ALL players, coaches and managers are required to self-register online through the Play Football link:

If you are a new player, Play Football will ask you to set up an account before registering. If you are a returning player, please use the email address you previously registered with when you last played. This will prevent multiple accounts being set up in your name and will allow your prior player history to be rolled over each season.
Registrations can be completed online via a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone. Registrations take 15-20 minutes to complete. Prior to commencing your registration, please make sure you have:

  • A photo, saved onto the device you are using to complete your registration. This photo MUST be a forward-facing passport style head shot. No-one else is permitted to be present in the photo, and no hats or sunglasses are to be worn.
  • Your active kids voucher number for school-aged children, should you wish to use it.
  • For coaches and managers, your Working With Children (WWC) check number. You can apply for your WWC check at:

What is the Active Kids voucher and how do I redeem it?

All school-aged children are eligible to apply for the government’s “active kids” voucher, which provides a $100 discount off their soccer fees (providing this has not already been used in 2020 on another sporting activity). Please remember to apply for your voucher FIRST and have your voucher code ready to enter when you register in Play Football. You can apply for your Active Kids voucher online through Service NSW at:

Please note that the active kids voucher cannot be redeemed after you have completed your registration – your individual voucher code needs to be entered as you complete your Play Football registration, and $100 will then be automatically deducted at the check-out.

How can I pay for my fees?

Payment can be made in three ways:

1. Online, during the Play Football registration process (this can only be done with a credit card).
2. Offline, by depositing your payment straight into the Club’s bank account:

3. In person, using cash or EFTPOS at our club information days, grading days, or at other advertised pre-season opportunities.

Please remember that you MUST still register online via Play Football, regardless of payment method.

What is the deadline for registering and for settling fees?

We would ask that all junior players are registered on Play Football prior to attendance at our compulsory grading days and team allocation days in early February. All fees need to be settled in full by Sunday 1 March 2020. All fees must be settled in full before your registration can be approved as “active” on the Play Football system and you are able to play. For all competition aged players (Under 10s and older), please remember that it can take 48-72 hours after making the final payment until your registration is made active and you are able to be listed on your Compman team sheet and therefore able to take the field.

Are payment plans available?

Yes. We are happy to work with you regarding flexible payment plans. One option is to contact your own financial institution and set up automatic deductions into the Umina United bank account (setting the amount and payment frequency of your choosing). Alternatively, you are able to make your own part payments straight into the club bank account. If you would like to take advantage of a payment plan, please advise the Registrar. PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE THE PLAYER’S NAME AS THE REFERENCE WHEN DEPOSITING INTO THE CLUB BANK ACCOUNT SO WE CAN TRACK YOUR PAYMENTS EASILY.

What happens if I cancel my registration?

Should you wish to cancel your registration, please email the Registrar: registrar@uminaeagles.com.au Please note that all cancelled registrations will incur a $30 cancellation fee (to be deducted from your registration refund). You will be refunded the balance of what you have paid into your nominated bank account (we will do our best to have this completed within five working days). No refunds are available once Round 1 commences on Saturday 4 April 2020.

How is information communicated to me?

Whilst you are welcome to email us, the bulk of our information is communicated directly to all our members via the Umina United Facebook page, or on the Umina United website. It is your responsibility to regularly check either of these places for all information in 2020. Once players are allocated into teams, team coaches and managers will decide how best to communicate with their players and/or parents (phone message apps are commonly used for this purpose).
