Coaching Appointments for 2017

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Frame as our Men’s 1st Grade Head Coach for 2017. Steve brings to Umina his extensive coaching experience and knowledge of Central Coast football, which will provide a platform for our players to excel in a high performance environment. The history of our club’s success is well documented and although Steve will take our team into Division One for the first time, he has the passion, commitment and drive to make an important impact on the playing group.

We also welcome Mick Penn back as the Women’s League Head Coach in 2017. Mick took our Women’s 1st Grade team to the finals and his influence on the playing squad during his first season with Umina was outstanding. Mick has extensive representative coaching experience and was nominated by his peers for 2016 Women’s League Coach of the Year. He is determined to ensure our women’s teams build on the last season and continue to develop an exciting and highly competitive style of football.

We also welcome Neal Morris back in 2017 as our Men’s Reserve Grade Coach, having taken his team to the finals this season.

Chris Young has been appointed coach of our Men’s 18A team next season, with Matt Goodwin assisting. Chris has a wealth of coaching experience that includes coaching Umina’s Men’s Premier League 1st Grade 2014-15. The development of our M18A players is one of our club’s key priorities and the opportunity for players to be coached by someone who has coached at premier league level, as well as having Matt as a current first grade player involved, ensures 2017 will be another exciting year for Umina Men’s 18A’s.
