Last week Gavin Robinson represented Umina Soccer club at a national conference for Goods Sports which is a not-for-profit subsidiary of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation (ADF). The conference was held Melbourne with over 120 people in attendance. Gavin was joined by 3 other panellists from Nth QLD, WA and Rural NSW. His presentation titled "Maximising our impact" was well received, and it was great to share stories about how Good Sports inspires community sporting clubs. The executive committee is grateful that Gavin could give up his time to represent our great club at this important event. [...]

Phil Rayner our club president was awarded a Rotary International Community Service Award from Rotary Club of Umina Beach for his Service to Umina United Soccer Club. Phil has been involved with the club since 1983 as a junior player and 41 years later his service continues. Congratulations Phil on your humble, dedicated service and hard work, you deserve the recognition.
