UMINA UNITED REGISTRATION 2026 – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Welcome to the 2026 Umina United soccer season.

Please note: This FAQ will be updated as new information becomes available. PlayFootball is a new system for both clubs and associations, and we are learning how it operates as we go.

The most up-to-date version of this document will always be available on our website. 

❓ Why has the registration system changed?

For the 2026 season, all registrations must be completed through PlayFootball.

This change has been mandated by Football Australia (FA) and Football NSW (FNSW). Central Coast Football (CCF) and all affiliated clubs were required to comply.

• PlayFootball is used for registrations only
• MyCompApp will still be used for fixtures, ladders, team lists and competition management

❓ How do I register in 2026?

All players, coaches and managers must register via PlayFootball:

Before you register, please ensure your account and participant records are set up correctly.

❓ Do I need a PlayFootball account?

Yes.

• All parents, players, coaches and managers need a PlayFootball account
• Parents will manage registrations for their children through their own account

If you have previously logged in using only your child’s account and wish to continue doing so, that is perfectly fine. You may:

• Claim your child’s participant record
• Add siblings to that same account using the Family Management process outlined below

❓ Claiming or creating participant records

Once logged in to PlayFootball:

1. Hover over your name → My Account
2. Select Manage My Registrations
3. Go to Profile
4. Select Create my participant record
5. Select YES and enter the required details to search for an existing record
   • If you (or your child) have played football in Australia before, a participant record already exists
6. If a record is found, select it and verify via the email code
7. If no record is found, follow the prompts to create a new participant record

❓ How do parents link children to their account?

Once your participant record is set up:

1. Go to Family Management
2. Select Add / Invite Family Member
3. Enter your child’s name and date of birth
4. Select YES to link an existing participant record
5. Confirm the correct record

If a family member appears as pending or you are unable to manage their registration, please contact:

❓ What are my registration fees for 2026?

IMPORTANT PAYMENT INFORMATION

• FA & FNSW fees must be paid upfront at registration
• These fees are paid directly through PlayFootball
• Payment is card only

The remaining balance (CCF & Umina United fees):

• Can be paid later
• Via bank transfer, or
• ZipPay (by arrangement – email secretary@uminaeagles.com.au)

You may also choose to pay the full amount upfront.

💰 Early Bird Discount – January Only!

To help support our families and ease the cost of registration, Umina United is offering a special Early Bird Discount for 2026 🎉

All players who register and pay in full during January will receive $30 off each registration.

This is our way of saying thank you and helping families save — so if you’re ready, get in early and take advantage of the discount!

Important details to be aware of:

• The Early Bird Discount applies to each individual registration
• Registrations must be completed and paid in full by 31 January
• If you choose to pay the CCF & Club portions offline (bank transfer), the full outstanding amount must be received into the club’s bank account by 31 January
• Payments received after this date will not be eligible for the Early Bird Discount
• If the deadline is missed, families will be invoiced for the remaining balance

We strongly encourage families to register and finalise payment early to make the most of this saving and help us with team planning for the season ahead.

❓ What is the Rise + Soar Inclusive Soccer Program?

At Umina United, we believe soccer is for everyone. 

Our dedicated inclusive soccer program — Rise + Soar — is designed for children who are neurodivergent and/or have an intellectual/sensory disability.

We’re inviting families to register their interest in being part of the program — the first of its kind on the Peninsula — so we can understand the level of community demand and design sessions that truly meet the needs of our players and their families. 

Our goal is to ensure every child in our community can access, engage and participate in sport, regardless of their ability — in an environment that is supportive, meaningful, and fun. Whether you’re completely new to the game or already love football, this program offers a positive space to learn, socialise and play.

❓ What is included in my registration fees?

Registration fees cover:

• FA, FNSW and CCF affiliation fees
• Team nomination fees
• Referee and cadet referee fees
• Ground hire and facility levies
• Council fees and ground maintenance
• Training and match equipment
• End-of-season presentations
• Club operational costs

❓ Are discounts available?

• Active & Creative Kids (ACK) Voucher – $50 discount per eligible child
• Life Members still playing receive a $100 discount (email registrar before registering)
• Family Discount – $60 per family for families with 3 or more registered members (e.g. 1 parent & 2 children, 2 parents & 1 child, or 3 children) (email registrar before registering to get the code)

Voucher codes must be applied during registration.

Playing kits

• U5–U9 players receive a free playing shirt to keep
• U10 and above jerseys are supplied as part of team kits and must be returned at the end of the season

Players are required to purchase Umina United playing shorts and socks. These can be purchased:

• In person at grading sessions or designated gear sale days (keep an eye out on socials for announcements)

Pricing:

• Shorts: $30
• Socks: $15
• Shorts & Socks bundle: $40
• Supporter gear and additional club apparel are also available through the Club Shop.

🎁 Female Players U5–U18

All female players from U5s to U18s will receive a free Coast Kick Pack at the beginning of the season, proudly supplied by Wyong Leagues Group, celebrating the Matildas hosting the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup on home soil.

Each pack includes:

• Drawstring bag
• Match ball in green and gold

❓ What do I need to register?

Registrations can be completed on a desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone. (We have heard it is a lot easier to use the PlayFootball system on desktop though)

Before registering, please ensure you have:

• A passport-style headshot photo saved to your device
  • Forward-facing portrait
  • No hats or sunglasses
  • No other people in the photo
  • If you are having issues uploading a photo, it may be because your photo size is too large, try screenshotting the original photo and using the screenshot.
• Your Active & Creative Kids voucher code (if applicable)
• For coaches and managers: a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) number

If you do not yet have a WWCC, apply here:

You will then need to visit Service NSW to complete identity verification. Your WWCC number will begin with WWC.

❓ How do I redeem my Active & Creative Kids voucher?

Families receiving the Family Tax Benefit are eligible to redeem the government’s Active & Creative Kids (ACK) voucher, providing a $50 discount per eligible child.

Important notes:

• Apply for your voucher before registering
• Have your voucher code ready at registration
• Multiple vouchers may be used if valid

❓ How do I pay the remaining balance?

Remaining balances can be paid via:

(Please use PLAYER’S NAME as the payment reference)

Or via ZipPay or In Club Payment Plans (by arrangement – email secretary@uminaeagles.com.au)

We will also be holding in-person registration support days, where members can come down for help with registrations and to pay any remaining balances in person — keep an eye on our social media pages for dates once they are confirmed.

❓ What is the deadline for registering and settling fees?

• Junior players should be registered prior to attending grading and team allocation sessions
• All fees must be paid in full by 23 February 2026

Registrations will not be marked as active until fees are settled. Only active registrations are eligible for team allocation and to take the field.

❓ When are grading days?

Grading will be held at Brisbane Water Secondary College (BWSC).

Dates (times to be confirmed):

• Wednesday 4 February 2026 – U13s to U16s
• Sunday 8 February 2026 – U8s to U12s
• Wednesday 11 February 2026 – U13s to U16s
• Sunday 15 February 2026 – U8s to U12s
• Sunday 22 February 2026 – Backup grading session if required

❓ How does MyCompApp work with PlayFootball?

Registrations for Umina United are completed through PlayFootball, however MyCompApp will continue to be used throughout the season for:

• Fixtures and results
• Team lists
• Ladders
• Match notifications and updates

How the systems work together:

1. Players register via PlayFootball
2. The Club reviews and approves the registration
3. Once approved, registrations are imported hourly from PlayFootball into MyCompApp
4. Players will then appear in the Accounts section of MyCompApp

📧 You will receive an email notification once the Club has approved your registration.

👉 Please note: Player photos uploaded in PlayFootball do not currently sync across to MyCompApp.

New to MyCompApp?
If you have not used MyCompApp previously, your account will be created automatically once your registration is approved.
Your default MyCompApp password will be:

• First 2 letters of your first name
• Day and month of birth (DDMM)
• Last 2 letters of your surname

Example: Sam Jones, born 3 April → sa0304es

Please don’t stress if you don’t appear straight away
All registrations must be individually approved by our volunteer registration team before they appear in MyCompApp. During busy periods this may take some time, but the team will process registrations as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding 💛🦅
